High Demand and Excellent Feedback

VEMAG Maschinenbau GmbH hosted a kebab seminar on April 21 and 22, 2026. Together with its two partners, Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG and VAN HEES GmbH, the company offered a compact one-day program that combined technical expertise, practical application, and networking. The doner seminar was fully booked and, due to high demand, was held on two separate dates with identical content.

Practical program with direct application relevance

The focus was on modern kebab production—from the recipe through grinding and mixing to end products such as kebab and various skewers. The event was aimed at industry professionals and offered concrete approaches for businesses that must meet increasing demands for efficiency, process reliability, and reproducibility.

The entire program was designed to be highly practical: technical presentations covered machine and application innovations, the ideal mincing and rotisserie setup, as well as legal and food safety requirements. The program was complemented by a presentation from the Association of German Kebab Producers (Verband der Dönerproduzenten Deutschlands e. V.).

Live demonstrations under real production conditions, tastings, a factory tour, and a presentation of the SmartLink software solution for operational data collection and production planning rounded out the seminar day.

Focus on Efficiency and Quality

A key focus of the seminar was on cost-effective solutions for kebab production. A prime example of this is VEMAG’s KLS770 kebab layering system: The machine produces kebab slices with varying, precisely adjustable weights and dimensions. These are sequentially placed onto a skewer at the respective workstations. The high degree of automation significantly reduces staffing requirements.

Together, VEMAG, Seydelmann, and VAN HEES demonstrated how product quality and cost-effectiveness can be combined through automation, flexibility, and process understanding. The direct exchange with experts and immediate access to technology and processes were particularly appreciated by the participants.

A Strong Format for the Industry

Dirk Buhr, Product Specialist at VEMAG, draws a positive conclusion: “The great interest and consistently positive feedback have shown how important practical formats are for the industry. Our goal was to provide participants with concrete solutions for their day-to-day production and to offer a holistic experience of modern kebab production. We are very pleased that, together with our partners, we were able to achieve this.”
